UPDATE FROM SLANDER – 50 DAYS OUT
STARBASE IS NEXT MONTH!!!!
It feels truly surreal writing these words…
Starbase is by far the biggest project we have ever undertaken, and I do not say that lightly. We have put in COUNTLESS hours preparing every single small detail, making sure everything perfectly matches our vision of a renegade outpost far off in the stars.
For a long time, this has only been an idea in our heads. Now that we’re just 50 days away, it’s finally starting to feel very REAL.. mainly because you guys are allowing this world to come to fruition. You are the reason for everything we do, and we want this to be the beginning of an incredible new chapter for our community and project, truly defining what a SLANDER festival can be, and coming together to be part of something bigger than just a concert.
Our goal with Starbase is to make the entire experience one of a kind. From the moment you arrive at Lake Perris until you watch the last sunrise on the beach during our closing set.
Recently, we’ve been seeing some recurring questions come in about the event, so we wanted to highlight a few big answers below!
1. Yes we have designed the festival to have multiple stages.. but NO SET TIME CONFLICTS, so you will be able to see every single act on the lineup if you choose to do so! How this will work is we will have 3 stages, but each will run at a certain time throughout the day. The Beach Stage will run from 11am-5pm. Main Stage will run 5pm-2am, and the After Party Stage will run from 2am-7am. One thing that’s super unique about Lake Perris is we can keep the music running into these late hours with no sound limitations! 😈😈
We are genuinely so excited for our 2 sunrise sets on the beach.. those will be truly unique moments we only get to experience at Starbase. 🌅
2. For those driving into the show: We want to make sure you know that CAMPING IS NOT REQUIRED to attend! Anyone can simply drive in/uber either day or both days.. so whether you are driving in or camping, Lake Perris will be our private little paradise for the best weekend of our lives!
3. Yes, we are building out 5 new shows exclusively for Starbase! A brand new SLANDER visual show, a brand new SLANDER B2B NGHTMRE set, a brand new SLANDER B2B DIMENSION set, and 2 brand new Before Dawn sunrise sets. We definitely have our work cut out for us until then, but we could not be more fired up to show you all the new songs we have been making for these extremely special performances.
4. Location (Where is Starbase?): Starbase is easily accessible by all areas of Southern California. If you live in LA, OC, SD or San Bernardino County.. Starbase is less than 2 hours from you! We specifically chose Lake Perris for its proximity to every single one of these areas where we have been doing shows for the last 10 years.
5. Experience (What will Lake Perris be like transformed into Starbase?): Lake Perris is an absolutely stunning venue which is the most important reason why we chose it. A big objective for us with the festival is to place our stamp of this safe haven in a faraway galaxy while also extenuating the natural beauty of the park, essentially working with nature, not against it. Our art, stages, and experiential moments will surround that theme. Another one of the most exciting transformations will be that all Tent camping will be in very close proximity to the lake, so incredible views will surround you at every moment. On the music experience side, we are bringing in some MASSIVE sound systems, along with a few of the best sound technicians in the world, so that every single set will have some of the best audio quality you have ever heard.
We want to thank everyone who has already purchased a ticket and are making their plans for April 25-26. RV Camping is 95% sold out, Car Camping is 90% sold out, and Tent Camping is 75% sold out!
If you are on the fence, we want to express that this will be the most special event we have ever created. We are putting our entire being (and every dollar we have) into making this the best experience possible.
